Journal of the Symposium of University Research and Creative Expression Journal of the Symposium of University Research and Creative Expression (SOURCE) is the official journal of the annual Symposium of University Research and Creative Expression (SOURCE) at Central Washington University (CWU). SOURCE is open to all CWU students and participating Ellensburg High School students to present research or creative works. The Journal of SOURCE (ISSN 2997-0059 [online]) is published annually in the fall by Central Washington University, Ellensburg, WA. It is composed of projects registered at the most recent SOURCE and supported jointly by the Office of University Student Research, Office of Undergraduate Studies, and the CWU Libraries. Under the coordination of 2025 Editorial Team, the first edition of the Journal of the Symposium of University Research and Creative Expression (SOURCE) was published in September 2025. This edition was composed of 24 manuscripts from SOURCE 2025 participants. These submissions reflected the work of students and mentors from a variety of departments: Art and Design, English, History, Music, Health Sciences, Information Technology Management, Biological Sciences, Law & Justice, Physics, Psychology, Sociology, and the William O.
