The public is being asked to help police track down the masked man who pulled off an armed robbery August 24 at the Caisse populaire in St-Eugène. The heist occurred at about 10:15 a.m. at the financial institution on Labrosse Street. The suspect entered the rear of the caisse by breaking a window. In the presence of employees, the suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money from the bank. He then fled the scene in a stolen green pick-up truck. No one was injured, The vehicle was recovered near a bike trail in St-Eugène not far from the bank. The bandit is still on the run. The suspect is described as being six feet tall, having a medium build. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black ski mask, a dark Puma jacket, blue jeans that were faded on the front legs and was carrying a two-toned blue packsack. La Cité golf club vandalized
La Cité Golf Course in Hawkesbury was thevictimofmischief over the last weekend. OPP officers were called to investigate 2 incidents of mischief which would have occurred overnight on Friday and Saturday. The investigation revealed that golf carts were taken from their enclosures during the night and rode on the golf course by a group of unknown individuals. This “joy ride” caused extensive damages to some greens. Many golf carts were also vandalized. Police is asking for the public's help .
