Class work explores unity of form and surface treatment with more complex forms using texture, color, scale and series of objects. Although the class title is “Advanced”, only a beginning level of clay work and familiarity with the studio is required. Your inspiration may start with Pinterest, but you will leave the class with art that is uniquely yours. Bring your inspiration, sense of humor and desire to explore your creativity in an environment that fosters personal growth. Each participant receives an individual space to store work. All supplies are included. Prerequisite: participation in a previous Naperville Park District pottery class. No class June 26 and July 3. (bd) CODE DATE DAY TIME R/N Studio One • 604 Sindt Court 83148 Jun 12-Jul 31 M 6:00-9:00 pm $164/$194 Mosaic Art Camp • AGES 18 AND UP This informative and fun class is intended for beginning or self-taught students who want to learn the best practices involved in creating a mosaic piece, cutting china and glass, types and proper use of adhesives, china chard layout, and grouting. Students will complete a mosaic of their own design to introduce them to materials such as art glass, porcelain or ceramic, glass and ceramic tiles, glass balls, stringed glass beads and a variety of odds and ends. Students are encouraged to experiment with color and texture and manipulate the materials to create to their mosaic piece. All materials and use of tools are included. Tools are also available for purchase, if students desire to own them. Students will take home their finished mosaic as well as an instructional guide summarizing information taught during class.
