A birthday party like no other
The Trinity Anglican Church Hall was vibrant with the voices of happy kids on January 14, as the community rallied to celebrate Caydence Andre’s tenth birthday. But the gathering was much more than a simple birthday party. Young Caydence, who actively volunteers much of her time to various organizations, wanted her special day to be a fundraiser in the memory of well-known local sports leader Brian Tardiff, who recently passed away from Lou Gehrig’s disease, also known as ALS. “She wanted to be involved,” said Caydence’s mother, Rachel Andre. — photos Francis Racine
Les enfants ont eu droit à plusieurs activités, dont la danse, et ont été choyés avec plusieurs sucreries. L’événement, organisé par Caydence Andre, avait pour but de non seulement souligner son anniversaire, mais aussi d’amasser des fonds pour la société de la maladie de Lou Gehrig.
