Plus de 1000 participants relèvent le Défi coureur des bois

Quelque 1080 participants de tous les âges se sont présentés au Parc naturel Lavigne à Bourget le samedi 24 septembre dernier afin de prendre part à la première édition annuelle du Défi coureurs des bois. Le Défi, une course à obstacles à travers la forêt, a été organisé pour la première fois cette année afin d’amasser des fonds pour le 64 e regroupement Scout francophone de Clarence-Rockland. De plus, l’évènement a aussi permis aux gens de tous les niveaux de mettre à l’épreuve leur capacités physiques, tout en s’amusant. La course a été divisée en deux trajets dif- férents afin de permettre à tous de participer. Les coureurs avec plus d’expérience et ayant plus de 14 ans ont fait le trajet Aventuriers en début de journée. Celui-ci s’étendait sur une longueur de cinq kilomètres et comptait une trentaine d’obstacles qui ont mis l’endu- rance, la force et l’équilibre des participants à l’épreuve. Les coureurs Élites ont été les premiers à faire ce trajet et les premiers arri- vés se sont mérités des prix. En après-midi, les gens ont pu faire le trajet Explorateurs de deux kilomètres, plus familial et axé sur le travail d’équipe. « Le tout s’est très bien déroulé et la température a été excellente, a déclaré la présidente du Défi, Chantal Lalonde. Les adultes comme les enfants ont surtout apprécié le parcours moins long et l’atmosphère au sein de la nature. »
