FIRE PROTECTION - SPLIT CASE PUMPS
Split casing design eases the pump maintenance as removing top casing gives access to remove entire rotating assembly
Double suction impeller offers inherent axial thrust balance, low NPSHR and optimum efficiency
Stainless steel shaft sleeves and high strength compression packing option are available for applications involving high suction pressure
A true inline split case pump with suction and discharge flange centers inline
Split glands enables easy repacking
Direction of rotation change needs no additional parts and can easily be done at site
Modular design with plenty of interchangeability reduces spares inventory at site
Shaft sleeves are threaded on the high strength carbon steel pump shafts, locked in place with keys. (Most reliable design in market)
Impellers are specially designed to meet stringent requirements outlined within NFPA 20, UL:448 and FM:1311 for a fire pump
Design employs “Thru-Bore philosophy”which reduces shaft length supported between bearings and reduces shaft deflection at wear rings and stuffing box. Increases service life of wear parts
FEATURES • Axially split casing – rotating element can be removed without disturbing pipework • Exceptional hydraulic efficiencies • Double and single entry back to back impellers reduce end thrust, increase efficiency and bearing life • Modular design for maximum interchangeability (multiple impeller selections) • Cast iron bronze fitted as standard, stainless steel impellers available as options
CONFIGURATION Horizontal, electric motor or diesel engine driven
• Double row thrust bearing • Wide operating range and extended bearing life • Reduced efficiency degradation • Approved to FM and/or UL standards • In compliance with NFPA 20
DISCHARGE & PERFORMANCE • 3 in. to 12 in. • Outputs to 7,500 gpm • Heads up to 871 ft.
