Inasmuch as He is the Saviour, let Him reign now in our hearts. Bring all into subjection to Him. Yield all to His sov­ ereign will. Make Him king of your life. PRACTICAL POINTS (1) Love, in unbelief, lingers at the last resting place. (2) No stone can stand in the way of God’s purpose. (3) What He says He will do, you may be sure He will do. (4) He brought life and immortality io light. (5) The angel in white was the evangel of the resurrection. ( 6 ) The wounds in His hands are the wit­ ness that He is the same. (7) Love beckons the backslider back to his Lord. ( 8 ) Faith in the resurrected Christ gives triumph to the Christian. (9) “Whether wake or sleep, we live together with Him.” H. How like the changing of these bodies of our humil­ iation into the likeness of His glorious body, The hen’s egg is broken only to give way to the new life of the growing chick. The rivers and lakes freeze in the cold winter’s blasts but the warm summer sun brings a change. The scene is so trans­ formed from the cold, the ice, the snow, to the flowing water full of myriads of fish. The birds skimming its placid bosom and the boys splashing in its, silvery waters speak of the wonderful resurrection of nature. The kernel of corn we plant today dies.

He triumphed over sin by paying • the penalty of a broken law, and cried, It is finished.” He triumphed over the grave, burst asunder the bars of death and came forth a victorious conqueror. He has tri­ umphed over the centuries, bringing to pass the prophecies concerning the Jews. He is triumphing today by His , infallible Word and in the lives of His followers. He will yet triumph, for He will come again and receive unto Himself His own. He will reign on the throne of David, His father, and rule over the house of Jacob. He will triumph over Satan and imprison him for a thousand years. He will finally triumph over all His enemies and consign them to eternal puishment. Satan, the Anti-Christ, all the hosts of Satan, the rejectors of Christ, alt will be shut up for­ ever in the place of torment. He will be triumphant throughout eter­ nity and of His kingdom there shall be no end. Angels, principalities, powers, yea, the universe, will be subject to Him who is the King of kings and Lord of lords. Hallelujah, what a Saviour! By W. T HE Cross' of the preceding lesson would be valueless if it were not for the resurrection which proves that God accepted Jesus’ sacrifice. Horace Bushnell well said, “The resurrection morning is a true sun-rising, the inbursting of a cloudless sky on all the righteous dead. They awake transfigured, at their Makers call, with the fashion of their countenance altered and shining like His own.” Nature Resurrections. —Every spring­ time with its bursting buds and recarpeted hillsides is a shadow of the resurrection. The fading of every flower and the form­ ing of the fruit is a hint of the change when resurrection comes. Every crab and snake and the insects of various kinds leave their old skins and shells for new ones. They come out into
