Lightning needs volunteers The Clarence-Rockland Lightning Girls Hockey Association is looking for volunteers before the start of the new season. The club has openings for a registrar to help keep track of team rosters, and a communications officer to assist with media releases and other means of promoting Clarence-Rockland’s girls hoc- key teams. Interested individuals can email president@crgha.com for more information. Meanwhile, the association has its eye on entering the First Annual Outaouais Women’s Hockey Tournament across the Ottawa River in Gatineau at the end of November this year. Leading the Nats this season will be Tim Kosch as head coach with André Roy as general manager. James Campbell is on board as assistant coach/GM. At present, the club still has an opening for a team trainer. Volunteer timekeepers for season games are also needed. This would be suitable for high school students needing community service hours.
The Rockland Nationals are gearing up for another season in the National Capital Junior Hockey League. The Nats tryouts camp hits the ice Sept. 2 in the Clarence-Rockland Arena at the Canadian International Hockey Academy campus off of County Road 17.The club has a new coaching andmanagement staff and they are looking for some new youngbloods
M. Raymond John Bouvier
De Hammond, ON est décédé le 14 août 2015 à l’âge de 71 ans. Époux bien-aimédeMoniqueLeblanc, il laisseaussidans ledeuilsessœursCarol (Bernard Rozon), Ghislaine (Gerry Rozon), Arlette (Pierre Castonguay), Micheline (Jean Sarazin), son frère Charles (Suzanne Arcand) ainsi que son beau-frère Michel Leblanc (Hélène Pérusse). Raymond est prédécédé par ses parents Léon Bouvier et Stella Gendron. Son souvenir restera présent dans le cœur de ses nombreux neveux et nièces. Il était un homme engagé non moins dans sa communauté que dans tous ses projets personnels. Raymond aimait la vie et affrontait ses nombreux défis avec courage et persévérance cependant on se souviendra surtout de sa gentillesse, son dévouement, son intégrité inébranlable, de sa générosité et de son souci sincère pour le bien-être des autres. La famille aimerait remercier le personnel exceptionel de l’Hôpital Élisabeth-Bruyère et de l’Hôpital d’Ottawa pour les soins prodigués avec grande compassion. Des dons peuvent être faits à la Fondation Bruyère Foundation (613-562-6319) ou au Centre de cancérologie de l’Hôpital d’Ottawa (613-761-4295). Les funérailles seront célébrées le samedi 22 août 2015, à 10h30, en l’église St-Mathieu, 3130, Ch. Gendron, Hammond, ON.
