It focuses on Al Jazeera channel’s news reports during the early years of the Arab Spring revolutions (2010-2011). The research is divided into five chapters, the first of which deals with television drama, which has become an important vehicle for propaganda, promotion of ideas, and influence on groups and peoples. The second chapter deals with the role of artistic and technical tools in programs and drama. The third chapter focuses on television report, in which news, commentary and drama elements overlap through suspense and excitement. The fourth chapter reviews some news reports that used dramatic elements. The fifth chapter analyzed a sample of Al Jazeera reports and concluded that conflicts represent an essential element in constructing news reports, and that the use of drama elements in preparing television reports increased their depth and added to them new dimensions such as in suspense and excitement. The study also concluded that Al Jazeera contributed to the making of the Arab Spring through its use of dramatic elements in its carefully woven news reports.
