It also seeks to reveal the role that strategic media planning at Al Jazeera plays in supporting Qatar’s foreign policy and providing a media deterrent in its favor. In addition, the study examines the extent to which Al Jazeera is committed to ethical values ​and international media professional standards in its coverage, even in those countries that violate the channel’s media policy. The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical approach and used various tools for data collection such as observation, questionnaire and interview. The research sample is composed of a selected group of professionals and experts in media and political science in Sudanese universities in the Khartoum area. The study findings indicate that Al Jazeera succeeded in clarifying Qatar’s position on world events, especially issues that affect its interests at a global level. The study also found that Al Jazeera contributed a great deal to changing the stereotypical image of Qatar to a positive mental image.
