The selected sample consists of four episodes of each of the following programmes: ‘The Opposite Direction’, ‘Al Jazeera Platform’, ‘More than One Opinion’ and ‘Open Dialogue’. The content of these episodes was analyzed in order to define whether these programmes embodied the channel’s policy of spreading the culture of diverse opinions, assess the extent to which it succeeded in advancing the cause of freedom of opinion in Arab visual media, and identify the role it played in the formation of Arab public opinion.
