This study examines the content and impact of Arab satellite channels, focusing on Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya. It explores the role they played particularly in the formation of knowledge of the Egyptian community in Yemen about major issues. The research used the survey method and conducted an analytical study of the content of the newscast aired at seven o’clock Cairo time on Al Jazeera, and content analysis of Last Hour bulletin at ten Cairo time on Al Arabiya, during November 2011. A field study was also conducted using questionnaire on a non-random sample of 300 members of the Egyptian community in a number Yemeni areas who are above 18 years of age. These areas were selected because they are the largest places of the whereabouts of the Egyptian community. The findings showed that there is full conformity in priorities of international issues between Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya, which ranked as follows: Syrian Revolution, sit-ins and Egyptian parliamentary elections, the situation in Yemen before and after the signing of the Gulf Initiative, reform issues in Libya and then the Iranian nuclear program.
