It also examines its ability to use the interactive features of electronic media, and use them to improve the relationship between the site and the public. In addition to other elements, these features contributed to placing this site among the top online news providers, not only in the Arab world but also at the global level. The study indicates that the role of the Al Jazeera.net complements and reinforces the role played by Al Jazeera satellite channel. It has achieved a qualitative shift in Arab electronic media due to its professionalism and ability to use modern technologies to provide a distinguished electronic service that combines audio, image and text. The study concluded with a number of results showing the positive role that Al Jazeera.net in playing along with other Arab news sites. The results also showed that electronic news services are capable of competing with satellite news channels. The study recommends the necessity to increase Arabic news content on Internet to balance the news flow in other languages.
