The study employed a descriptive methodology, using a field survey distributed to the research community. The study population consists of media institutions employees in Amman, through a sample of 415 respondents. The research concluded with a number of findings, including the following: There is a difference of views between Jordanian journalists about the nature of Al Jazeera’s coverage of the Egyptian revolution and subsequent events. There is a difference of views among Jordanian journalists about news values and professional standards in the channel’s coverage of these events. There is a difference between Jordanian journalists about the extent of Al Jazeera’s coverage of these events. However, there is an agreement among respondents that Al Jazeera’s coverage played a crucial role in sustaining the momentum of protests that led to the Egyptian revolution. There is also an agreement between them on the fact that the channel allocated a considerable time for political analysis. They believe that Al Jazeera reported events as if it was part of it.
