Through this evaluation, the study seeks to determine the aspects of the channel’s performance regarding the Libyan affairs during this period. The study employed the descriptive approach using field research to reach the desired results. The research sample consists of 700 media professionals in the Libyan capital, Tripoli. The findings showed that the channel employed news and reports for political purposes, and the scope of its news coverage of the Libyan issues declined after the fall of Gaddafi’s regime. The results also indicated that Al Jazeera became host to guests of a specific political color. It relied on special sources that serve its editorial line and used particular testimonies to obtain information that serve its agenda. These sources are not always reliable and cannot secure a balanced approach. The study also found that Al Jazeera’s coverage of the Libyan affairs generally focused on negative aspects and ignored the positive ones. After the end of the revolution, the coverage became clearly biased.
