Focusing on the Al-Sonduq Al-Aswad (Black Box) programmes, the research tries to unpack the prominent trends and the priorities in selecting the topics addressed in the program when handling Arab issues. The study used the survey method and content analysis to examine the content of the entire series of the programme consisting of 33 episodes that were broadcast on the channel from the beginning of 2013 until the end of 2016. The research findings showed that the political issues in the programme ranked first with 45.5%, followed by legal issues with 18.2%. The year 2014 witnessed the widest coverage of political issues by 70%, reflecting the main interest of Al Jazeera’s coverage in general. The findings also indicated that Egypt ranked first in the program with 27.3%, followed by Syria, the Arab-Israeli conflict, Lebanon and the Maghreb with 12% each. The analysis showed a neutral trend in the treatment with 42.4%, followed by a positive trend with 36.4%. The way the programme presents issues and topics was generally balanced.
