The increasing ability of the media to communicate their messages calls for more attention to the role they play in employing and promoting specific terminology that affects the political sphere. The study employs a descriptive approach, using a selected sample of experts and specialists in the media field, including chief editors of newspapers, producers of television programs, directors and correspondents of Arab channels. The research data was collected through an ‘expert questionnaire’to which 21 experts has responded. The research findings showed that the commitment of Arab media discourse in general to the Arab code of media of ethics came at a medium rate. The study sample also agreed that Sky News and Al Jazeera channel’s commitment to the same document was weak. The study emphasized a number of recommendations, including the necessity of neutralizing the media discourse from political bias when reporting events. It also recommended that Arab channels stop promoting biased political messages and show more commitment to the guidelines of the Arab code of media ethics.
