This descriptive comparative study used the survey method to collect data from a selected sample of respondents consisting of 70 professors teaching at six Jordanian universities in both the public and private sectors. These institutions include Yarmouk University, Petra University, Middle East University, Zarqa University, Al Ahlia University, Jadara University, and the Arab Open University. The research findings showed that the most watched programmes on both Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya channels during the Gulf crisis were the news programmes. The results also showed that there was no significant statistical difference among the research sample according to the variables of gender, age, academic rank, specialization, or number of years of professional experience. The study revealed that one of the most important reasons why media professors in Jordanian universities prefer to watch Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya channels most is Jordan’s close relationship with the Gulf countries and the proximity of these countries politically, socially and economically.
