Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya news networks were quick to pick up the story and construct their own narratives in line with to their editorial policies when news of Saudi Arabia’s involvement reached the surface. Al Jazeera channel, a Qatar- funded network, and Al Arabiya channel, a Saudi-backed network, took contrasting stances on the issue. This research looks at the differences and similarities found in the English websites of both networks in order to understand how their coverage of the Jamal Khashoggi case aligns with the ideologies of Qatar for Al Jazeera and Saudi Arabia for Al Arabiya. A number of findings resulted from the study, some of which confirm the propagandistic role of news media organizations in terms of how both networks approached their coverages.
