It focuses Al Jazeera as a case study and looks at the correlation between the viewing habits of the channel’s audience and their attitudes towards the Arab-Israeli conflict. The study used content analysis to analyze the data collected through a questionnaire that was distributed among a sample consisting of 230 professors of humanities and social sciences at the University of Jordan, Aal al-Bayt University, and Mu’tah University. The study also analyzed the content of news reports and talk show programmes of Al Jazeera channel. The findings showed that the viewership of Al Jazeera’s talk shows is high between professors from both sexes, especially among PhD holders. The results also indicated that content of news articles showed the highest percentage in opposition to the Israeli occupation. The issue of normalization of relations between some Arab countries and Israel also occupied a great deal of the talk shows airtime. The study recommends that viewers diversify their news sources to minimize the effect of Al Jazeera on their opinions and understanding.
