He then translated them and put them together for publication according to a clear methodology. Through accumulation homogeneous discourses, these networks seek to convince users that what they see on screen is a true version of the reality. This study analyzes Al Jazeera Mubasher’s Facebook posts about the “Islamic State” through which it shaped the public’s awareness that appears through their comments. Drawing on theoretical frameworks, such as critical theory and phenomenology, the author used discourse analysis and framing analysis to identify the ways the discourse of social media promotes specific ideological and normative frames to shape the minds of the public.
