Make it a trio of Christmas festivities with visits to enchanting Christmas markets in Holland, Belgium and Germany, including one underground! We also visit the point at which these three countries meet. PACKAGED ITINERARY Day 1 Arrival Day 2 Valkenburg We spend today in Valkenburg, where we explore the Castle Ruins and Velvet Cave, a network of tunnels and passageways beneath the ruins. We also browse the wonderful Christmas markets, including the Christmas Market Caves, with festive stalls and twinkling lights transforming the underground corridors into a magical Christmas village. Day 3 Liège, Drielandenpunt & Monschau This morning we visit Liège, home of the largest and oldest Christmas market in Belgium. After free time for lunch, we visit Drielandenpunt (‘three country point’), the tripoint between Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, before continuing to Monschau, where we enjoy the festivities of the Christmas market

Day 3 Aachen & Merode Castle Christmas Markets This morning we visit the delightful Aachen Christmas market, with stalls lining the squares and lanes around the UNESCO protected Aachen Cathedral and Town Hall.
