Stunning Stumm & Ziller Valley The Tyrol region’s stunning scenery, waterfalls and majestic snow- capped peaks are legendary. The area offers a wide variety of attractions to discover and our packaged tour features a journey on the Zillertal Railway, a cruise on Lake Zell and an excursion to the Krimml Waterfalls, as well as a visit to the Tyrolean capital, Innsbruck. PACKAGED ITINERARY Day 1 Arrival We start our day in style by travelling on the Zillertal Railway . We marvel at the peaks and the jagged rocks of the scenery on our journey from Stumm to the lovely resort of Mayrhofen, which takes approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival in Mayrhofen we enjoy free time for lunch in our stunning surroundings, framed by the majestic Zillertal Alps. We may also wish to make the most of the local cable cars (not included) before returning to our hotel mid-afternoon. Day 3 Innsbruck Today we visit the Tyrolean capital city of Innsbruck, surrounded by the jagged rock spires of the Nordkette mountain range. We could choose to enjoy a horse and carriage ride through the streets of the old town to discover some of the most important sights, including the Hofgarten, the ornate 15th century Golden Roof designed as a royal box for the Emperor, the Column of Saint Anne and the Triumphal Arch. Day 4 Stumm Driver’s Day Off We spend today relaxing in our beautiful resort in the stunning surroundings of the Ziller Valley. We can enjoy the leisure facilities at our hotel or explore the local area. Day 5 Krimml Waterfalls & Zell am See We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner. Day 2 Zillertal Railway & Mayrhofen This morning we travel to the Krimml Waterfalls via the scenic Gerlos Alpine Road (toll payable locally) and marvel at this impressive natural spectacle. The falls are Europe’s highest, with a drop of 380 metres, and the fifth largest in the world. Our journey then continues to the pretty town of Zell am See, nestled on the shores of lovely Lake Zell. Here we enjoy a picturesque 45 minute circular boat cruise and admire the beautiful scenery, before wandering through the medieval centre and along the lake shores. Day 6 Departure After breakfast, we begin our journey home.
