Ethan Fisher is a professional in the pulp and paper industry with a strong technical background and a passion for continuous learning and leadership development. He earned his undergraduate degree from UW-Stevens Point, where he completed a double major in paper science and enginerring and chemical engineering. During his time at UWSP, Ethan demonstrated a commitment to student leadership and professional engagement through active involvement in industry-related organizations. He served as vice president and president of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) student chapter and also held the position of president of TAPPI, helping foster professional growth and networking opportunities for fellow students. Ethan’s professional experience includes multiple internships with Solenis and a co-op position with Mativ, where he gained valuable industry knowledge and hands-on experience. In addition, he served as a laboratory teaching assistant for PSEN 115, an introductory paper engineering course, mentoring undergraduate students and supporting their academic success. Following graduation, Ethan joined Solenis full-time as a regional STAR engineer in Wisconsin, where he works to support customer operations and drive process improvements across the region. As an MBA candidate at UWSP, Ethan is focused on developing his expertise in financial decision-making, project management and people leadership. His long-term goal is to advance into a management role within the pulp and paper industry, where he can help organizations achieve operational excellence and sustainable growth. Ethan is particularly passionate about supporting innovation in Wisconsin’s paper mills, recognizing their critical role in the region’s economy and employment opportunities. Outside of work, Ethan enjoys golfing, watching soccer and college football. He looks forward to learning from the diverse experiences of his MBA cohort while sharing his own industry insights and perspectives.
