Calan Krohn is a finance major and student-athlete with a strong interest in real estate investment and financial strategy. His coursework in Real Estate Principles and Investment has enhanced his skills in market analysis, risk assessment and long-term planning. Outside the classroom, Calan manages a full-time athletic schedule, building strong skills in time management, leadership and teamwork. He interned with a new sports-affiliated franchise, supporting financial and marketing operations. Through UWSP’s LEAD program, he gained hands-on leadership and business experience. A standout moment was shadowing a top financial advisor for professional athletes, offering him direct insight into sports finance and wealth management. With a focus on expanding his business knowledge and leadership skills, Calan is also committed to building a strong professional network. He aspires to become a financial advisor who supports athletes and young professionals in achieving long-term financial success. Additionally, he remains dedicated to community outreach, particularly in promoting financial literacy and mentorship. Calan hopes to make a lasting impact in Stevens Point, a community that has supported him throughout his athletic and academic journey. He aims to promote financial literacy, inspire young students through school visits and volunteer his time to uplift youth programs. His interests include sports, spending time with loved ones and relaxing at his grandparents’ cabin up north—activities that help him stay grounded and balanced. Known for his dedication, teamwork and eagerness to grow, Calan looks forward to building meaningful relationships with fellow MBA candidates and contributing to a collaborative and inspiring learning environment.
