William Weber is a 4+1 MBA student from UW-Stevens Point, where he will graduate in spring 2026 with a major in fisheries and aquatic Science. Throughout his undergraduate years, William has been actively involved in several student organizations, including the Fisheries Society, Big Dawg Fishing Club and Ice Fishing Club. He has taken on numerous leadership roles, serving as president and tournament director of the Big Dawg Fishing Club, president and public relations officer of the Fisheries Society and treasurer of the Ice Fishing Club. His dedication to aquatic science is further reflected in his undergraduate research, where he studied the effects of manmade versus artificial structures on brook and brown trout. Professionally, William has gained valuable experience through his role as a fisheries intern with the South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks, where he assisted with research projects and public education on invasive species prevention. He also served as a LEAD peer mentor from 2023-25, supporting new students as they transitioned to college life, and currently works as a closing manager, tour guide and bartender at the Stevens Point Brewery. Through the MBA program, William hopes to strengthen his leadership and business management skills, build long-lasting professional connections, and prepare for a career that aligns with his values in environmental stewardship and teamwork. He aims to use his experiences to inspire others through his dedication, reliability and strong work ethic. Outside of his academic and professional life, William enjoys fishing, waterfowl hunting, camping, hiking, traveling and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
