Brenda Snorthiem is the housing director at Community Development Authority of Marshfield. In this position, she provides oversight and technical advice to the Housing & Community Development Advisory Board. She also serves, advises, and participates in city management and City Council on the progress of community development and housing programs. Brenda graduated in May 2022 from UW-Stevens Point with a degree in family and consumer sciences-child life and family studies. Brenda looks forward to joining the UWSP MBA program to learn new skills and gain a deeper understanding of business operations. She is excited to use these skills to strengthen her ability as a leader in the community. By obtaining an MBA, Brenda believes she will be exposed to new and exciting opportunities that will advance her career. The MBA program will help Brenda achieve her educational and professional goals. She feels the program will enhance her ability to serve as a leader in the economic development of downtown Marshfield. Brenda has proudly lived in Marshfield her entire life. She is pursuing an MBA to strengthen her confidence to make important decisions impacting her community. She hopes to contribute and give back to her community by working with city organizations and non-profits to further the success and longevity of Marshfield. Outside of work and academics, Brenda enjoys travelling and history. She also spends a lot of time researching her family tree. Brenda loves learning about her family’s history and being able to look through old photos.
