Roy Thorson started his entrepreneurship at an early age. He began his own business, “Play It Again Music,” which has proven to be a success to date. Roy has also worked in customer service and sales for Best Buy and Samsung. As a UWSP student, Roy knows that hard work and commitment to higher education can help him achieve his greatest ambitions. He will obtain his bachelor’s degree in business administration, pending graduation summer 2023. A music enthusiast, Roy is looking forward to combining his passion with business. He believes the pragmatic applications provided by the MBA program will help him further his personal and professional achievements. He hopes he can be more successful in his current role as well as pave the way for his future aspirations. As a strong believer in the justice system, Roy hopes to one day be a part, and right the wrongs of the current court system. Roy’s greatest professional dream is to start his own law firm. He believes the MBA and his future Juris Doctor degree will help him hone the skills he needs to be successful. He is eager to further his understanding of classroom concepts and to qualify them as they relate to the real world. Roy is looking forward to creating life-long relationships with his MBA professors and colleagues from differing backgrounds. In his free time, Roy plays euphonium in a local band as he enjoys jazz and classical music. Roy enjoys hunting and fishing with his family. He looks forward to creating an educational workspace that benefits all.
