Jon Weiler is a dedicated individual whose life journey has been shaped by a profound commitment to service, leadership and community involvement. In 2020, Jon earned his degree in history from UW-Stevens Point. His academic pursuits laid the foundation for his subsequent roles as a political advisor in local government and as the 2nd Vice Commander for Mar-Lin VFW Post 10203, exemplifying his ongoing commitment to public service. A distinguished veteran of the U.S. Army, Jon’s military career spanned nearly 30 years, culminating in his retirement as a warrant officer. Currently serving as a business analyst with the U.S. Army Reserves, Jon’s leadership extends beyond military circles. Previously, he held the position of executive director for the High Ground Veterans Memorial Park in Neillsville, Wis., showcasing his dedication to honoring and supporting fellow veterans. Beyond his military and professional roles, Jon is deeply involved in community service, volunteering at his church and serving on various ministry teams. Looking forward, his aspirations include continuing his work in ministries, the Army Reserve, VFW and local government. Jon harbors a vision of establishing a non-profit that organizes music festivals to raise funds for veteran organizations. Embarking on his MBA journey, Jon seeks to enhance his leadership skills and business acumen. Recognizing that his prior experiences were largely self- taught and military-driven, he aims to acquire insights from business leaders, professors, and classmates to grow and contribute effectively to his future roles. Outside of his professional pursuits, Jon is passionate about ministry, family, veteran issues and the great outdoors. An unexpected interest lies in public speaking, where he addresses groups on veteran issues. With an eye on expanding his discourse into business leadership, Jon looks forward to leveraging his MBA to broaden his expertise. He eagerly anticipates learning from the wealth of experiences his peers bring to the MBA program.
