Dans ses yeux on voyait un soleil levant. En la voyant prendre ses premiers pas, C’est son amour qui marchait vers nous. Depuis qu’elle est partie, Les nuages ressemblent à des fleurs, Les fleurs de son cœur. Dieu nous a prêté une enfant Afin que nous puissions lui apprendre à aimer. Après avoir accompli cette tâche avec succès Dieu est venu la chercher. L’enfant qu’II nous avait prêté, Avec tout l’amour qu’elle avait pour la vie, Son sourire, elle le donnait, Un héritage qu’elle nous a laissé. Après toutes ces années, Aujourd’hui nous comprenons, Que c’est l’enfant que Dieu nous avait prêtée. Nous aurions aimé avant de quitter ce monde, En prenant notre dernier soupir, L’avoir près de nous. Aujourd’hui, c’est nous qui faisons nos derniers pas, En voyant que nous nous rapprochons d’elle, Avec les bras grands ouverts elle nous attend au ciel. Nous nous voyons déjà dans ses bras, Les bras de l’enfant que Dieu nous avait prêtée. À tous ceux à qui Dieu a prêté un enfant, Un jour, Il pourrait venir le chercher, L’enfant qu’Il nous avait prêtée.

Peacefully at home, on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, Mignonne Lavigne, of Rockland, Ontario passed away, aged 85 years. Predeceased by her husband Maurice Lavigne, and her parents Edith Dunnigan and Jean Lafleur. She is survived by her sister Mariette, and her brother in law Dr. Matthew J. Hamilton; her brother J. Marc Lafleur (Judy Nolan); her nieces, Martha Walsh (Tom) and Daphne Hamilton (Dr. Dion Jansen); nephews, Dr. Jerome Hamilton and Dr. David Hamilton (Dr. Catherine); great nieces; Hope, Jane, Lola, Polly and great nephews, Andrew and Hamish. Mignonne had a lifelong career in the Federal Public Service, primarily with Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Transport. She loved life, travel, gardening, reading, bowling and spending time with her family. A funeral mass was held on Wednesday, October 23 rd , at Holy Trinity church, followed by internment at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic cemetery . Thank you to Dr. Y Lefebvre, support from ParaMed Home Health Care and Bayshore Health Care Ottawa, and Carefor Health and Community Services.
