Let’s celebrate our 30 th

is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world. Moving by its 30 years, the Prescott- Russell Community Development Corporation continues to position itself as a major player in economic development, social and community development within the United Counties of Prescott and Russell and also Southern Ontario. But all this didn’t happen alone. There are also numerous community and business partners that contributed and still continue to contribute to the PRCDC’s success. Partners such as: the UCPR, the EOTB, the Caisses populaires, Desjardins Business Centres, the Banks, the BDC, the PRESC, the FFO. La Cité Ottawa and Alfred, the P-R Entrepreneurial Academy, la Passerelle Toronto, Groupe CONVEX, our professionals, our suppliers and service providers and for sure the businesses and entrepreneurs of Prescott-Russell. Furthermore, I must outline our primary partner, the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FEDDEV Ontario). FedDev Ontario will certainly play a front line role in the development of sustainable strategies for the betterment of the communities of Prescott-Russell for the next 30 years. So what will be the vision of the PRCDC’s future? The PRCDC managed to make it through two global recessions (1990 and 2009), the 1998 ice storm, several agricultural crises, industry closures and massive job losses. Today, we can say that our region is still struggling and facing many economic

challenges, but on the long run, and most certainly with the willingness of all, the region will prosper. Guided by the strength of our administrators on the Board of directors, the expertise of

our professionals, the pertinence of our development tools, and this continuous relationship with our business and community partners, the PRCDC will continue to be a LEADER and a forerunner in the diversification

of our communities in a sustainable fashion. Long live the PRCDC John Candie, Executive Director
