The Lakes South Morang College - Issue 14

STUDENT PERSPECTIVE

We believe in celebrating our students' strengths and interests while providing them with a supportive and nurturing environment. Instead of focusing solely on what our students may find challenging, we acknowledge their unique abilities and accomplishments. By doing so, we can foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages all our students to reach their full potential. At The Lakes, as part of our wellbeing teaching, we focus on understanding diversity, celebrating differences, and showing respect to others. Teaching our students these values help to create an inclusive environment, where all students feel safe and valued. It will foster a culture of kindness and respect among all students. We celebrate differences and recognise that every child brings something unique to our school community. Our school vision states that we will be curious, creative, open to challenge and have a positive impact on all members of our community. We are committed to ensuring that all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
