The Lakes South Morang College - Issue 14

The Lakes South Morang College Newsletter STUDENT PERSPECTIVE

PRIMARY REFLECTION ELISE YEAR 3 SRC

Wow! The Year 3 students have had a crazy week. We left for Year 3 & 4 camp on Wednesday 30 th August, which was very exciting. We got to do lots of activities which included the flying fox, archery, traditional Bush Hut Building and Bush Survival Skills, damper cooking and low ropes course. We saw lots of animals, including horses, sheep, kangaroos and a wombat. We did lots of bush walking too, which was fun. We loved the food there, especially dessert and the snacks. We had lots of laughs with our teachers who went, and we can ’ t wait to go to camp next year, in 2024. The Year 3 students are counting down the days until Term 3 ends, 13 school days left.

SECONDARY REFLECTION ANHAD & AALIYAH YEAR 10 SRC

This term has been eventful and engaging thus far, marked by a couple of exciting highlights for the Year 10’ s. We had an invaluable visit to La Trobe University, where we got a firsthand glimpse of the dry labs and all the opportunities they offer. The university tour provided us with insights into potential academic pathways and expanded a lot of our horizons. Additionally, our full - day City Experience was a refreshing break from routine. Looking ahead, we are eagerly anticipating more hands - on experiences and learning opportunities that the rest of the year will bring, as well as further exploration and discovery within both academic and city contexts.
