" I Knew These Firms Were Reliable Inasmuch os THE KING'S BUSINESS had Accepted Their Advertisements."— Mrs. E. M. Ritenour, See the BUYERS’ GUIDE PRIZE-WINNING LETTER BELOW W e present this m onth the letter awarded the Second Prize in our B U Y E R S ’ G U ID E C O N T E S T which closed December 31, 1938. Chadwick, III., December 17, 1938. The King’s Business, Buyers’ Guide, Gentlemen: During the past summer we used the “Master Ant Killer” manufactured by the JONES PRO DUCTS CO. We bought ‘'New Snow Ball To mato” seed from MR. E. ANDREWS FREW. From the TABERNACLE PUBLISH ING CO. I purchased Tabernacle Hymns No. 3. I have also used Torrey’s Gist o f the Lesson and Peloubet’s Notes on the International Sunday-school Les sons. (I believe these were obtained from REVELL CO.) schools. They are very attractive, up-to-date, com plete, and true to the Bible. The good we have derived from this course thus far cannot be told. (We are using it for the second year.) The chil dren are eager to really study their Bibles along with their work books. Some of the boys who need special urging to do their public school work are so interested in their Bible work that they pre pare their lessons several weeks in advance. I can not praise this course highly enough. From the D IETZ CO., I have bought also many missionary books, plays, gifts, song books, pictures, hand-work material, and Bible study books for both children and adults.

Being a reader of The King’s Business since the winter of 1923, I have had many opportunities to become acquainted with your advertisers and their commodities. My library contains nearly two hun dred religious books, and I believe two-thirds of them have been bought from your advertisers. From the BIOLA BOOK ROOM I bought Streams in the Desert, and I consider it the best devotional book I have found. From the GEO. F. ROSCHE & CO., HOPE PUBLISH ING CO., STANDARD PUBLISH ING CO., DAVID C. COOK CO. and RODEHEAVER HALL-MACK CO., I have bought song books, Sunday-school supplies, and entertainment booklets for special occasions. The REVELL CO., too, has furnished me with Bible study books.

At present we are taking a Bible Marking Course, and the booklets (by Clarence Keen) which we are using, were purchased from THE BIBLE IN ST ITU T E COLPORTAGE ASSN. I have bought also a number of other Bible study books from this store, and while I have derived much good from them all, I should like to give special praise to Mrs. McCord’s book, The Tab ernacle, the very best I have found on this subject. The firm with which I have dealt most often is the W. H. D IETZ CO. of Chicago. From it I buy the “Gospel Light” series of lessons which we use in oiir Week-Day Bible Classes in our grade

All the advertisers mentioned have furnished me with commodities which I can heartily recommend to every one. The service was prompt and most satisfactory. I ordered goods from these firms primarily because I knew they were reliable inas much as The King’s Business had accepted their advertisements. Yours truly, (Signed) Mrs. E. M. Ritenour.
