IRON MAN AT THE UNICORN THEATRE Q To complement their History learning on the Tudors, the Year 4 boys headed off to Hampton Court Palace in February. The boys learnt about the variety of jobs that a nine year old Tudor boy may well undertake, including a scullion, spit boy and gong scourer…the last of which you really don’t want to know what it entails! They also visited the Great Hall where many aristocrats were wined and dined. All in all, it was a great day out with many boys commenting on the fact that this trip helped bring their History learning to life. In addition, the Year Group watched an atmospheric performance of the Iron Man at the Unicorn Theatre. It was a very cleverly delivered production, with extensive use of paper-cut silhouettes, puppetry and stop-motion animation, all designed to recreate the world of the Iron Man.
