Q Year 5 have experienced many fantastic trips over the past academic year. To complement their learning on the Victorians, the boys visited Southwark Cathedral where they dressed up in traditional costume and attended lessons that were delivered ‘the Victorian way’. In the Lent term they were treated to a superb Aztec workshop from the company, Mexicolore – this involved performing traditional songs on Mayan and Aztec instruments, and it culminated in boys performing tribal dances whilst playing the rubber ball game of ‘Ullamaliztli’. Year 5 also visited Kew Gardens to deepen their understanding of the rainforest and to learn about how plants and animals thrive within a rainforest environment.
