The recent report of the Secretary, B. D. Smith, gives a brief and modest statement of a far-reaching and blessed ministry. The publications are prepared by the Bible House and are all under- scored. This service has met with hearty com- mendation from the missionaries on the field and has been a great adjunct to their own work. A booklet entitled "Selected Portions from the Word of God," containing sixty-five selected passages of Scripture, illustrated and printed in large type, has been very popular and a quarter of a million of copies have been called for annually. The report gives the following statis-. tics of distribution to date: Spanish.
