Our range is vast - well over 400 different products from stock. But we can also work with grades, sizes and finishes, and even create bespoke patterns off-site for supply in pre-assembled, pre-finished panels, to provide you with your optimum flooring solution.

The development of engineered wood boards has made ever wider planks a feature of modern design, with many products available in widths of 220mm or more. And a wide range of blocks and pre-assembled, pre-finished panels provides the opportunity to create complex patterned flooring, ideal for creating interest and defining different zones in the workspace.

This international design company wanted to replicate an unfinished wooden flooring seen at the Tate Modern, which led us to recommend a plank with a Valour finish. This unique UV cured oil provides an exceptionally tough surface yet appears to have no impact on the look or feel of the wood itself, thus emulating the natural velvety feel of unfinished timber. Since their London-based workspace features many narrow corridors a fairly narrow, 120mm wide engineered board in character grade European oak was selected; a fine sawn texture and white oil completed the required look. Furthermore, unlike the unfinished plank that was originally requested, our pre-finished recommendation easily passed every liquid spillage tests we, quite literally, threw at it.

With Havwoods Bespoke you can specify sizes, grade, processes or finish, in any combination, as well as additional levels of FSC or PEFC certification on some products. You can even give your imagination free rein on a unique design as in the floors shown here. We'll have it made off-site and delivered in schedule- friendly, easily installed pre-finished engineered panels, so there really is no limit to what you can do with our wood.

It has been clinically proven that using more wood in interior design has the same positive physical and psychological 'nature contact' health benefits as nature in the raw, for example as in a garden. Having worked with Havwoods on several workplace and residential schemes, Woods Bagot called upon us for their Fitzrovia based studio. Looking to offset the industrial interior of these premises, they chose a 260mm wide plank with hand-cut bevels. Its distressed surface is less susceptible to showing the ravages of wear and the white natural oiled finish emphasises both the distressing and the natural grain, resulting in a pale-coloured plank ideal for a naturally dark setting.

Venture Plank is one of our finest quality, engineered wood collections, characterized by a thick lamella, interesting shades and a smooth surface texture with a choice of grades and finishes. Oiling always brings out the natural beauty of the colour and grain. It offers the facility to spot repair any areas of damage, but traditionally it has been considered less protective than lacquer. Venture Plank was the first collection to feature the use of UV cured Hardwax Oil, a finish that combines the wear advantages of a lacquer with the subtlety of an oil. Now it also includes the Valour finish. Winner of the latest Mixology award, this UV cured oil is five times more resistant to scratches than standard lacquered boards, yet offers a uniquely matt appearance and tactile surface.

INGENIOUS MAGNA ™
MAGNETIC PLANKS FOR THE BEST WOOD FLOORS ON RAISED ACCESS FLOORING
Raised access flooring plays a vital role in workspace environments but, in our experience, no existing timber adaptations provided satisfactory results. So we designed our own with specific criteria.
Our structure works with tongue and groove boards to ensure that any danger of stepping (where the planks pop up), cupping or warping is eliminated. It incorporates a better method of blocking air flowing from under the floor than those currently available. And it also includes an arrangement to ensure that the planks will not squeak.
The result of our research is Magna: so called because the reverse of the timber is magnetized. This additional benefit ensures fast, easy removal of individual planks, or even entire floors, without risk of damaging their surface.

Magna timber can be installed over any new or existing raised access flooring system. Not only does it look good, but it reduces downtime, being 90% quicker to fit than surfaces requiring glue or underlay.

At Havwoods we offer you over one hundred different planks that may be fitted with our Magna system to make them ideal for installation on raised access flooring. This includes any from our Venture Plank and V-Collections, as well as a selection from the Henley range. Furthermore, the lead time for adaptation of stock items is just four weeks. Virtually all Havwoods' products may be used to create a stand-out feature out of any flat surface, however our Vertical collection comprises of products made especially for the job. It includes reclaimed wood veneers, a lightweight and cost- effective alternative to a solid or engineered plank, as well as three- dimensional cork tiles that also provide natural thermal and acoustic benefits.
