Message from Clinical Care Coordinator Hi, my name is Trudy Loveday and have been working at Strathpine for a few weeks now Meet Trudy, your new Clinical Care Coordinator as your Clinical Co-Ordinator. I feel very privileged to work at a such a lovely community. Everyone has made me feel very welcome. I have been working in the Aged Care Industry for the past 30 odd years. I have done a lot of other work in-between but have always gone back to Aged Care. I grew up in Tasmania, the Apple Isle, only moving to the mainland when my children were very young. My dad was a police Sergeant in Tasmania and a champion rower. I also rowed, had my own skulling boat made and won the Championship in Skulling. I remember dad used to make me get out of bed every morning at 5am rain, hail or shine to go rowing on the Derwent river. Dad would take off in his skull and leave me to skull up and down the river under the Tassie Bridge. I then decided to scuba dive and joined the scuba diving club in Tasmania. I enjoyed wreck diving, recovery diving and night diving. The waters in Tasmania are beautiful for diving, although quite cold. Now I enjoy the smaller things, such as family dinners, enjoying my Grandchildren, riding my Harley, gardening, renovating and working with a wonderful team and all the lovely people that live here. It is still taking me awhile to get to know you all so have some patience with me, I know I can be frustrating at times. I forgot to mention my second half is a nurse in Mental Health and also a wonderful cook. I can go home everyday and say 'what's for dinner?' and he always comes up with something delicious. He also cooks the fortnightly family dinners and Christmas dinners. I hope like anything he doesn't have to work this Christmas because I think I have forgotten how to cook.
