This represents an economic output of $2.2 billion on the Indian reservations where their gaming enterprises are located and an economic output of $3.8 billion off the reservation. The initial output that is generated on the Indian reservation comes from the wages being paid to all casino employees and the net income that the casino makes after paying for all its operating expenses. In tot al, $1,077,868,937 was paid to casino employees in 2020. As these employees spent their disposable incomes in the economy, another 8,091 jobs were generated, $528,456,338 in labor income created, $873,042,083 in value added, and produced an overall economic output of $1,552,293,794.

In 2020, Tribal gaming enterprises and their ancillary businesses engaged in purchases of goods and services for their operations saw overall employment gains of 14,058 jobs, $827,077,080 in labor income, $1,332,063,044 in value-added, and produced an overall economic output of $2,298,596,311.

At the start of 2020, Tribal gaming operations and ancillary facilities in the Portland region supported 34,023 ongoing direct jobs. As the coronavirus spread and Tribal casinos started close in March, the operations ongoing jobs number fell to 3,402. This represented a drop of (90%). As the regions casinos started to reopen, the number of jobs coming back increased to 22,959 at the end of December. Although COVID-19 disrupted Tribal gaming in many ways, the Portland region still generated significant economic activity when measuring the wages that were paid to Tribal gaming employees and what casinos spent
