This represents an economic output of $306.7 million on the Indian reservations where their gaming enterprises are located and an economic output of $516.6 million off the reservation. The initial output that is generated on the Indian reservation comes from the wages being paid to all casino employees and the net income that the casino makes after paying for all its operating expenses. In total, $190,502,548 was paid to casino employees in 2020. As these employees spent their disposable incomes in the economy, another 1,430 jobs were generated, $93,399,369 in labor income created, $154,301,451 in value added, and produced an overall economic output of $274,352,394.

At the start of 2020, Tribal gaming operations and ancillary facilities in the Rapid City region supported 5,900 ongoing direct jobs.
