Natural Grocers offers affordable prices and free nutrition education. To register for your troop’s program, select the Natural Grocers location and call the nutritional health coach at the phone number listed. Programs should be scheduled 2-4 weeks in advance. This program is usually free, unless a troop wants something extra!

Park St. Olathe, KS 66061 The Museum of Deaf History, Arts & Culture® (MDHAC) will advance and preserve knowledge about Deaf people, their languages, cultures, and experiences in the United States and around the world. Did you know the founder of Girl Scouts, Juliette Gordon Low was almost totally deaf? Learn about this rich culture through the Immersive “Hands-On” Workshop that offers an enriching and immersive experience in an American Sign Language-rich environment lead by Deaf Docents. This program introduces participants to the Deaf Community, its culture and languages, as well as bridge the language gap between the Deaf and non-Deaf communities by promoting shared signing communities for all. If need voice interpreter (as our volunteers are Deaf and use American Sign Language) please schedule 3 weeks in advance.

Cooking & Healthy Living Badge Workshops

Hands-on Workshop

Natural Grocers nutritional health coaches will work with you to create customizable workshops to help your troop earn their next badge. Badge Steps Offered: Brownie Snacks, Junior Simple Meals, Cadette New Cuisines, Senior Locavore, and Ambassador Dinner Party.

Girl Scout Taekwondo

The Immersive “Hands-On” workshop consists of a 1-hour program split into three 20-minute sessions: 1) Observing Visual Vernacular Performances, 2) Learning the Signs for Different Countries around the World, 3) Exploring De’VIA Genre Artwork, 4) Learning about Deaflympics, 5) learning Animal Kingdom Signs, 6) learning Foods Signs, 7) learning Feelings Signs, and/or 8) learning Holidays Signs. Length: 1 Hour.

DIY Body Care Class

A fun, interactive, taekwondo class where girls learn punches, kicks, and when its safe to use them. Great activity to practice physical fitness while having fun!

Scrub goodbye to skin care chemicals! Girls will learn fun, easy do-it-yourself body care using oils, foods, and everyday ingredients you can find at home.

Minimum Workshop Fee for 10 participants or less is $85. Additional participants add $9 per person.
