Educational Field Trip
Trail Ride or Arena Event
We offer a one-hour, hands-on educational field trip designed for grades K–7, as well as an extended our tailored for grades 7–12. Both experiences emphasize key topics in Missouri Archaeology, early American settlement, cave ecosystems, and earth sciences.
Girls will learn horse safety and horse care, develop riding skills, and much more. Whether they’re riding through the beautiful tree-lined trails at Hillsdale Lake or learning how to maneuver their horse through obstacles such as cones and barrels in an indoor arena, that is guaranteed to be a fun and memorial learning experience. Length: 1-2 hours.

Horseback Riding Badge Program
Come experience unique year-round cave camping at Stark Caverns! Our programs offer learning opportunities in archaeology, wildlife, cooking, exploration, geology, and more. With access to a ready-made classroom, hiking trails, picnic areas, a fire pit, and a guided tour of the caverns, our Girl Scout cave camping options are perfect for a one or two-night adventure. Price: Girl Scouts: $30, Parents $34 Length: As many days as available.
In this add-on badge program, Girls will learn basic horse safety while working with horses on the ground, from grooming and nutrition to exercise and walking - everything involved with horse ownership.

Primitive Camping
Primitive camping experiences are available when you schedule a trail ride or arena event. Picnic tables, fire ring, and a cooking grate are provided at a tree-shaded campsite. In addition, potable water hydrants and a restroom with running water and a shower house are near the campsite.
