Wildcats take consolation trophy win

!e Gloucester Rangers notched their second win of the season after corralling the Kanata Stallions last week. But then the Carleton Place Canadians hamme- red them twice in junior A action at home in Rockland and on the road in Carleton Place. !e Rangers’ second game on their Rockland location schedule for the season in the Central Canadian Hockey League saw last Friday night’s match against the Canadians "nish 7-2 for the visiting team. Matt Adams opened up the scoreboard in the Rangers’ favour during the "rst minute of the "rst period. !e Canadians o$ence then put the pressure on the Rangers with A.J. Klein "ring in the "rst point for Carleton !e Cumberland Grads notched three victories on their games schedule for a !anksgiving celebration for the club in the Central Canadian Hockey League. !e Grads shut down the Brockville Braves 7-0!anksgiving Sunday at the Navan Memorial Arena, capping a winning week that included a 5-2 win over the Braves on their home last Friday and an 8-0 freezeout for Kanata when that club showed up in Navan on Oct. 4.
