Woodford Manor Aged Care Autumn Newsletter 2026

Message from Lifestyle continued

happiness that came from these sessions was incredible to witness. Seeing residents smile at themselves in the mirror again was such a rewarding experience for everyone involved. May May brought even more special moments, including celebrating one of our residents turning 103 years old — an event so special it even made the local newspaper. We also celebrated Mother’s Day with a beautiful High Tea for all of our ladies. During the event, we displayed the glamour photos on the big screen for everyone to see. The room was filled with smiles, excitement, laughter, and even a few emotional tears. Residents were not only amazed by their own photographs but were equally supportive and complimentary of one another’s photos. Some of our beautiful ladies were even featured in the local newspaper, making the experience even more memorable. I, Lee, have organized many events over the years, but this was truly one of my Favorites of all time. Watching the residents’ reactions and seeing how beautiful and confident they felt made all the hard work worthwhile. Upcoming Events We still have plenty of exciting events coming up over the next few months, including: • State of Origin Game 1, 2, and 3 celebrations with fun themed games and activities • Visits from the Oak Tree Kindergarten children, which residents always love and look forward to • Commonwealth Games themed activities and competitions • NAIDOC Week celebrations to recognize and celebrate culture, history, and community The Lifestyle team looks forward to continuing to create meaningful, fun, and memorable experiences for all our residents.
