Community Happenings Autumn Autumn at Woodford Manor was a season of celebration, friendly rivalry and moments shared around the table. From glamour photoshoots to state pride showdowns, there was something for everyone across the quarter. Celebrating culture and community St Patrick’s Day kicked off our autumn celebrations with a bingo game featuring an exciting twist, a jelly cheesecake fresh from the kitchen and a traditional Irish morning tea the following day. The Woodford Singers kept the theme alive with a concert of Irish songs that had the whole room joining in. Harmony Day invited us to celebrate the many cultures that make up our community, and we marked the occasion with a special cake and plenty of conversation. Frank’s birthday fell during the festivities, and the kitchen honoured him with a cake inspired by his own culture, which he thoroughly enjoyed.
Our Easter celebrations began with a ‘do you know your partner’ competition that tested how well our couples and friends really know each other. Joe and Ruth claimed first place, while Kevin took home the lucky door prize as an added bonus. The fun continued with a special visit from Mia and the Easter Bunny, organised by Traditional Funerals, which brought smiles all around. Our sincere thanks to them for such a delightful morning.
