BURKE FARMERS MARKET Freshly picked vegetables, fruits, and flowers along with tasty baked goods and yummy drinks —who doesn’t love a farmers market? Now you too can relish these treats at the Burke Farmers Market. The market takes place on every Saturday from now until December 22, starting at 8:00 a.m. and lasting until noon. Head over to 5671 Roberts Parkway and see what it’s offering! HISTORIC FAIRFAX COURTHOUSE TOURS Most people don’t want to end up in a courthouse in their lifetime. However, the Historic Fairfax Courthouse will have people lining up to to get inside. Attendees of the tour will have a chance to visit the Historical Records Center showroom, which will have original documents out on display for viewing. Along with this, attendees will walk through the Historic Records Center Records Room, where you’ll learn about the history of the building and the cases that have taken place within it. The tours take place every Friday at 3 p.m. and are free to the public. THE MIGHTYMILE If you have kids who love to run, then this event is for them! Taking place on July 29 at Fairfax Corner, 11895 Grand Commons Ave., Fairfax, VA, children from toddlers to 14-year-olds can take part in this fun run, starting at 8 a.m. and lasting until 9:15 a.m. The course is only a mile long for kids ages 6–14, half a mile for 4- to 5-year-olds, and only 100 yards for the Tot Trot. Bring your kids or encourage your friends’ or family members’ kids as they push themselves to finish their mile.
