DECO SURFACES NOW IN CASSELMAN
Baker Design has just acquired a new banner, Déco Surfaces. Since 1977, the Déco Surfaces network has brought together merchants specialized in flooring and decoration, united by a common desire to offer their customers the widest choice, a personalized service offered by connoisseurs, as well as the best products at the best prices. The Deco Surfaces network is constantly growing. Merchants from all over Quebec, Eastern Ontario and Northern New Brunswick are added each year. With more than 70 merchants, Déco Surfaces is officially the largest group in Eastern Canada. The group's expertise is diversified, as most of its merchants operate in the housing and residential construction markets, as well as in the commercial and institutional sectors. “Thanks to Déco Surfaces, we will be able to stand out in flooring, especially in this competitive world,” explained owner Fabien Baker to the 50 or so people gathered at 597 Saint-Albert Road in Casselman, on Saturday, September 28. “This is not to mention that we are increasing our purchasing power, which allows us to continue to offer a turnkey service to our customers.” It all started about twenty years ago, when Fabien joined his brother in running a business that offered its customers sale and repair of electronic items. Fabien, who had become manager, decided to perfect his knowledge of interior and exterior renovation. He then returned with a wealth of experience in the field and founded Baker Design in 2011. At the time, the company occupied a 167-square-metre premise in the heart of the village of Casselman. It offered professional interior design, design and installation services for renovation and electronics. In 2012, the brothers acquired four acres of land on the other side of Highway 417 in The Nation Municipality. And in 2013, the company moved into a brand new 743-square-metre building. In addition to professional interior design, design and installation services, customers can purchase virtually anything they need for their home. In addition to Deco Surfaces products, it also includes windows, doors, kitchen and bathroom counters and cabinets, sinks, toilets, baths, fireplaces, paint and more. In recent years, the company has chosen to divest itself of the electronic component. Fabien and his wife, Jacynthe, became the sole owners. But the company still offers the same professional turnkey service in a place where you can find almost anything you seek for your home. Today, the company has more than twenty employees. The current premises will expand in the near future as the building is currently being enlarged.
