OPÉRATEUR JOURNALIER AUX TRAVAUX PUBLICS TEMPS PLEIN, PERMANENT
PUBLIC WORKS DAILY OPERATOR FULL TIME, PERMANENT
SOMMAIRE DU POSTE Le département des travaux publics est présentement à la recherche d’une personne mature, motivée avec un grand sens d’organisation pour combler le poste ci-haut mentionné. Sous la direction du Travaillant/Surveillant des travaux publics, l’Opérateur journalier sera responsable d’opérer les équipements lourds servant à la construction et à l’entretien des routes, des bâtiments et autres ouvrages. L’Opérateur sera responsable de l’exécution des tâches suivantes, mais ne sont pas limitées à : • Manœuvrer des équipements lourds tels que des pelles rétrocaveuses afin de construire et d’entretenir des routes de gravier et d’asphalte, des stationnements, des systèmes de drainage, des trottoirs et des panneaux au cours de la construction ou de travaux connexes; • Inspecter et donner des comptes-rendus de l’état de la signalisation routière et directionnelle, des systèmes de drainage et d’éclairage; • Manœuvrer de l’équipement lourd pour la réparation et le revêtement des routes au cours de la construction et/ou de la réparation des routes; • Conduire l’équipement lourd pour le déneigement et déglaçage des routes, des stationnements et trottoirs; • Effectuer des tâches manuelles liées à l’entretien et aux activités des routes et du système de drainage. EXIGENCES • Diplôme d’études secondaires; • 3 ans d’expérience dans les opérations d’équipement lourd incluant le chargement, le déchargement et le déneigement; • Posséder une licence DZ pour l’opération des véhicules à essieu tandem; • Être en mesure de travailler des horaires différents de travail et/ou travailler des heures irrégulières (été et hiver) et être disponible 24h/24h (sur appel) pendant la période d’entretien et de déneigement en hiver; • Demeurer dans un rayon de 30 minutes du garage municipal afin de répondre au temps de réponse minimum requis pendant la période d’entretien et de déneigement en hiver serait un atout; • Certification en patrouille d’hiver et/ou l’équivalent d’école de neige, et en construction routière et/ou gestion routière serait un atout; • Connaissance en mécanique et en construction serait un atout; et • Fournir une vérification de casier judiciaire et de dossier de conduite à jour. EXIGENCES LINGUISTIQUES Bonne maîtrise de la compréhension, expression orale, la lecture et l’écriture du français et de l’anglais RÉMUNÉRATION Le salaire, basé sur une semaine de 35 heures par semaine, est de 21.53$ à 26.21$. POSITION OVERVIEW The Department of Public Works is currently seeking a mature, motivated person, with a great sense of organization to fill the position mentioned above.
Under the direction of the Public Works Supervisor, the daily operator will be responsible in operating heavy equipment used in the construction and maintenance of roads, buildings and other structures. The Operator will be responsible for performing the following tasks, but are not limited to: • Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes to build and maintain gravel and asphalt roads, parking lots, drainage systems, sidewalks and signage during construction or related work; • Inspect and report on the status of roads, directional signs, drainage systems and lighting; • Operate heavy equipment to repair, resurface roads during construction and / or repairs; • Operate heavy equipment for snow removal and de-icing of roads, parking lots and sidewalks; • Perform manual tasks related to maintenance and activities of roads and drainage system. REQUIREMENTS • Secondary school diploma; • 3 years experience in heavy equipment operations including loading, unloading and snow removal; • Possess a DZ license for the operation of tandem axle vehicles; • Must be able to work different work schedules and / or work irregular hours (summer and winter) and be available 24 hours a day (on call) during the winter snow maintenance and snow removal period; • Staying within 30 minutes of the municipal garage to meet the minimum response time required during winter snow maintenance and snow removal would be an asset; • Certification in winter patrol and/or any equivalent snow driving school, in road construction and/or road management, would be an asset • Knowledge of mechanics and construction would be an asset; and • Provide an updated criminal record and driving record check. LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS Good proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading and writing of both French and English. COMPENSATION The salary based on 35 hours per week is fixed at $39,187-$47,699.
