My style and technique have always been the same from the beginning until now: that is to create impactful, iconic, and timeless images. My driving force and desire is to create unique images for premium brands, setting them apart from their competitors. Four words define my work: passion, perfection, minimalism, and sophistication.
هـل تخبرنـي بتحديـات كبـرى واجهتـك فـي حياتـك المهنيـة، وأوقـات كان مـن الصعـب فيهـا رؤيـة المسـتقبل؟ التحــدي األكبــر الــذي أواجهــه كمصــور هــو تغيــر الطقــس أثنــاء التواجـد فـي الموقـع. يجـب أن تكـون قـادرا علـى إدارة التوقعـات، خاصـة عندمـا تعمـل مـع فريـق كبيـر. قبل سـتة أشـهر، سـافرت إلى شخصاً. 20 جزر المالديف للعمل في مشروع مع فريق مكوّن من كنت المخرج، ولم نُمنح سـوى أربعة أيام إلكمال المشـروع. خالل هـذه الفتـرة، واجهنـا تحديـات جويـة، تغلبنـا عليها مـن خالل وضع ثـالث خطـط مختلفـة للتصويـر. بهـذه الطريقـة، تمكنـا مـن تصويـر ســاعة فــي اليــوم. 18 إلــى 16 كل شــيء فــي ثالثــة أيــام بالعمــل وبمـا أن المشـروع انتهـى قبـل الموعـد المحـدّد، تمكـن الفريـق مـن االستمتاع باليوم األخير كإجازة، حيث أمضى البعض وقتهم على الشاطئ، أو خرجوا في رحالت دالفين، أو تمتعوا بالغطس. لذلك، فــإن مشــقة العمــل جعلــت الجميــع ســعداء إذ أمكنهــم االســتمتاع باليـوم األخير. ثمّة تحد كبير آخر واجهته في باكو بأذربيجان، حيث تم تكليفي بتصويـر اسـتاد باكـو األولمبـي. ونظـرا ألنـه كان تصويـرا جويا ولم تكـن هنـاك مسـيّرات طائـرة مـن دون طيـار بعـد، فقد كنّــا نصوّر من طائرات هليكوبتر. وصلنا إلى الموقع على متن مروحية عسكرية لطالما كان أسلوبي وتقنيتي هما نفسهما منذ البداية وحتى اآلن: وهو إنشاء صور مؤثرة ومبدعة وخالدة. قوتي الدافعة ورغبتي هي إنشاء صور فريدة للعالمات التجارية الراقية، وتمييزها عن منافسيها. أربع كلمات تحدد عملي: الشغف والكمال والبساطة والرقي .
فـي وقـت أبكـر ممـا كان متوقعـاً، لذلـك اضطررنـا إلـى التحليق في الهـواء قرابـة نصـف سـاعة وسـط ريـاح شـديدة، وبـاب المروحيـة مفتـوح. أدركـت أن واجهـة االسـتاد كانـت تغيـر ألوانهـا وتوقعـت أن ألــوان غــروب الشــمس فــي ذلــك اليــوم ســتجعل األلــوان علــى األرجـح أرجوانيـة، لذلـك اتصلنـا مـن المروحيـة بالفريـق الهندسـي األرضـي فـي الملعـب لتغييـر أضـواء المصابيـح الخارجيـة للملعـب لتتناسـب مع غروب الشـمس، والتقطنا صورة مذهلة. علمت فيما بعــد أن هــذه الصــورة طُبعــت واُطّــرت، وهــي معلقــة فــي مكتــب الرئيـس األذربيجاني. ما اللحظات التي ال تُنسى بالمعنى اإليجابيّ؟ حيـن كنـت أسـبح مـع أسـماك شـيطان البحـر وأسـماك القـرش فـي جــزر المالديــف، وأغــوص داخــل الكهــوف فــي المحيــط الهنــدي، وأشــاهد الحيــاة البحريــة المذهلــة. لحظــات تــدرك فيهــا كــم أنــت محظــوظ لفعــل مــا تفعلــه. مـا النصيحـة التـي تقدمهـا للمصوريـن الشـباب الراغبيـن فـي اتبـاع خطواتك؟ الشغف والمثابرة والعمل الجاد هي مفاتيح تحقيق النجاح. كيف تصف أسلوبك وتقنيتك اآلن؟ لطالما كان أسلوبي وتقنيتي هما نفسهما منذ البداية وحتى اآلن: وهو إنشـاء صور مؤثرة ومبدعة وخالدة. قوتي الدافعة ورغبتي هـي إنشـاء صـور فريـدة للعالمات التجاريـة الراقية، وتمييزها عن منافسـيها. أربـع كلمـات تحـدد عملـي: الشـغف والكمـال والبسـاطة والرقي. تكمن فلسـفتي في تصوير الحداثة السـريعة واالسـتهالك والعولمـة فـي دول الخليـج، وتأثير التعبير المعاصر لالستشـراق.
and I anticipated the colours of that day’s sunset would likely result in magenta colours, so from the helicopter we radioed back to the on-ground engineering team in the stadium to change the exterior LED lights of the stadium to match the sunset, and we took an amazing image. I was informed later that the resulting image was printed, and it hangs framed in the office of the President of Azerbaijan. What moments have been unforgettable in a positive way? I have been swimming with manta rays and sharks in the Maldives, scuba diving inside caves in the Indian Ocean and watched amazing marine life. It is during moments like these when you realise how fortunate you are to be doing what you do. What advice would you give to young photographers wanting to follow in your footsteps? Passion, perseverance, and hard work are the keys to achieving success. How would you describe your style and technique now? During this period, we encountered weather challenges, and we navigated the challenges by having three different shoot plans in place. In this way, we managed to film everything in three days by working 16 to 18 hours per day. Because the project concluded ahead of time, the crew were able to enjoy the last remaining day as a day off, with some spending the day on the beach, going out on dolphin excursions, or snorkelling. So, despite the hard work, it made everyone happy that they could enjoy the last day. Another big challenge I had was in Baku, Azerbaijan where I was commissioned to shoot the Baku Olympic stadium. As it was an aerial shoot back when drones did not exist, we were shooting from helicopters. We arrived on a military helicopter earlier than expected to the location, so we had to hover in the air for almost half an hour during extremely windy conditions and with the door of the helicopter open.
